Mapping the Future: Aging with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

A planning guide for aging caregivers and families preparing for the future needs of an adult with an intellectual or developmental disability.

Families caring for an adult with an intellectual or developmental disability may need to plan for both the individual’s future needs and changes in the caregiver’s own health and circumstances.

Central Pines Area Agency on Aging partnered with The Arc of the Triangle and other community organizations to develop Mapping the Future, a short guide designed to help families begin that planning process and connect with additional resources.
