Regional Work
Destination 2055
Destination 2055 is the Triangle region’s adopted long-range Metropolitan Transportation Plan, developed jointly by Triangle West TPO and the Capital Area MPO. It identifies roadway, transit, rail, bicycle and pedestrian investments recommended over the next 30 years and gives us a concrete example of what regional transportation planning produces.

Triangle Clean Cities
Triangle Clean Cities connects local governments, fleets, businesses and other partners with clean transportation technologies, alternative fuels, grant opportunities and technical expertise. The coalition has operated since 1999 and is part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s national Clean Cities network.
Regional Work
Triangle West Transportation Planning Organization
Triangle West TPO leads long-range transportation planning and funding decisions for Durham County and portions of Orange and Chatham counties. Housed at Central Pines, the organization works with local governments, NCDOT and regional partners on transportation investments, multimodal planning and major corridor initiatives.
