One of CPRC's most critical roles for the region is that of a convener and mediator between local governments and partner organizations working to improve coordinated planning, share resources, and identify solutions that reduce duplication.

Member Working Groups

Member Working Groups consist of council members, staff representatives, and external stakeholders. The aim of these working groups is to facilitate communication and collaboration on specific areas of interest or expertise to tackle issues or concerns and develop initiatives that can result in regional development while taking into consideration community's needs, environmental protection, economic growth, and social equity.

A new working group comprised of all or some of our membership is created when one of the following is identified:

  • A long-standing and ongoing need for coordination that extends beyond one meeting or project.
  • An emerging challenge that impacts multiple local governments.
  • An opportunity to leverage local funds or expertise through a collaborative effort.
