Offered by UNC School of Government in partnership with Central Pines Regional Council's Human Resources Consortium.
Supervising in local government has never been more complex. New supervisors are expected to lead people, navigate employment law, manage performance, and build inclusive teams—often without formal training. Fundamental Supervisory Practices equips local government supervisors with the practical tools, self-awareness, and legal grounding needed to lead effectively from day one. Participants will leave with concrete tools they can apply immediately—along with a stronger understanding of themselves as leaders.
Through a partnership between Central Pines Regional Council (CPRC) and the UNC School of Government, CPRC member governments are eligible to register for this highly interactive, practical course at a significantly discounted rate.
